Day 2
It’s dark, before the sun has come up. I feel alive though. Hands and knees on the mat, I immediately want to move into my hips, they make cracking sounds as I gently circle them, I fold in and out of child’s pose. All the attention is in my lower body, it feels good. I want to stretch my feet sideways from the ankles, there’s a slight feeling of release.
I feel air in my belly. Thoughts come up about an email I read this morning, then they fade.
Resting, I notice how nice it feels to breathe. How delicious it is to just breathe. Funny.
My hips and stomach feel good stretched out flat.
My body does a couple of those breaths that you do when you’ve been crying, the ones where you take 3 breaths in 1.
When I open my eyes, it’s light, and there’s rain on the window.
