Day 10

I can feel the compression in my upper back as soon as I place my hands on the mat. A small pulsing pain in my right forearm muscle down to my wrist. As I move with the pain, emotion arises; sadness, even sorrow maybe.

I move with tension and release, hard, fast, angular movements with my arms, a beat with my fists on the ground, I feel anger in my upper body and face, it’s a bit startling.

I slow down and feel the resonance of the anger that’s moved through me, a soft heat and tingles pulsing down my arms.

Up on my knees as the music gets faster, I throw off the blanket wrapped around my shoulders, James Brown style, I make myself laugh at the thought.

Chaotic, wild arms, fast and free. I make myself laugh again at my wildness.

The pulsing pain in my forearm has gone.

Getting more subtle with my movements now, I notice my heart is soft tonight.

Laying down my lower back pinches, I wiggle to release it a bit. My body takes a deep breath right down into my upper belly.

Calm and awake, the rest feels really, really sweet.
